Earlier this year, Davision Media produced the video presentation that was used to pitch the new venture, which brings the stars and the music back to the forefront for the millions of country music fans around the country.

...On the web side, all of our clients are up in traffic year to year, as they use their sites to better market their core businesses. On the media side, we continue to work extensively with Senior Helpers franchisees around the country, helping them get the word out about their life-changing services and how they can make a huge difference in a loved ones quality of life.

With the station still weighed down by an incredible amount of bad programming debt, we really didn’t want to add anyone else, so I volunteered to take care of it. ... But within 6 months, since I didn’t really have time to work on it during business hours, I was spending virtually every waking moment away from the office working on the web - something I can promise you was not happening with any of our other Station Managers. But what I didn’t fully realize at the time was that I was getting an incredible education - and laying the groundwork for what would become a major force at Davision Media.

Now, several years later, I am spending at least half of my time working on web content and design, and planning and executing SEM and SEO initiatives for our clients.

What a Year!

It’s hard to believe that in the year since starting Davision Media, we’ve a) relocated to Raleigh/Durham b) began working with one of NC’s best and most respected marketing, public relations and communications firms, 919 Marketing Co. and c) have many clients, including one of prime architects of Barack Obama’s election campaign, Betsy Myers. ... After spending two terrific years here in the mid-90’s as Promotion Director at WLFL, I’ve always wanted to return here, and having this company provided that opportunity. I don't know who produced this video, but if its student-produced (as I'd like to think) then clearly they have come a long wiy since my time there, when 3/4" tape was something new and exciting.

In an effort to continue to make Davision Media a turnkey solution for many different types of clients, we are proud to introduce VoicesVision™ - a small, but powerful, voiceover talent group. The goal with this is to represent individuals that offer a unique vocal hook, while giving you the most range and flexibility.

...I’ve helped some of today’s most in-demand voices break into television, and also been fortunate enough to work with many of the ‘giants,’ including the late, great Don LaFontaine. At one point in the last six weeks, it looked like their was going to be an affiliate backlash to this, but alas, it didn’t pan out. Too bad, too, because the repercussions of this are likely to haunt NBC for years to come, as this move has the potential to negatively impact the ratings in prime, late fringe and the mornings - not to mention how it is going to affect the affiliates and their 11pm newscasts.

Although it probably won’t matter at all in the grand scheme of things, CBS’s cancellation of Guiding Light marks yet another end worth noting. ... This spot had much more of a ‘movie trailer’ feel to it and did a very effective job of making the episodes into an event.

...As I see PSA’s piling up in access and other high-profile dayparts, I’m wondering why stations don’t use the added avails to create longer. more effective marketing for themselves? ... One would think that given the high profile network launches and increased HUT levels, stations would be all over this additional inventory as a way to better brand and promote their priorities.

Right now, as they head into an unusual March sweep, stations should be siezing the added inventory and engaging viewers about something other than the DTV conversion.

The Power of Social Media

<dc:subject>Blog</dc:subject>

This is quite an achievement for our client, given the thousands of books available about retirement planning - not to mention Jim’s own success with the 1st edition.

Why is anyone’s guess, although it seems like the real reason is simply to give the government more time to allocate more money to their coupon program.

...Local broadcasters have shouldered the financial burden of this conversion for nearly a decade - to the tune of over $5 billion - with virtually no financial gain or incentive.
